Welcome to my website! As a former art educator, my career is dedicated to the process of discovery and expression. I love breaking free from the constraint of simply imitating images and challenging the viewer’s imagination by looking beyond representation. Most pieces are inspired from my photos and include impressions of all forms of nature including a recent “Tree of Life “ series. Other subjects range from architectural interpretations of famous landmarks to the more whimsical and abstract. ​​I use a loosely applied palette knife impasto technique with layers of acrylic paint on canvas, wood, or aluminum. Expressionistic colors and loose textured strokes result in dynamic, energetic, inspiring compositions.
