Welcome to my website! As a former art educator, my career is dedicated to the process of discovery and expression. I love breaking free from the constraint of simply imitating images and challenging the viewer’s imagination by looking beyond representation. Most pieces are inspired from my photos and include impressions of land and sea scapes.  Other subjects range from architectural interpretations and the ever popular birds and animals to the more abstract and whimsical "Parasols". ​​I use a loosely applied palette knife impasto technique with layers of acrylic paint on canvas or wood. Expressionistic colors and loose textured strokes result in dynamic, energetic, inspiring compositions.
